Final Project

Here is my Relevant and Innovative Learning Scenario Lesson Plan and Video.  I hope you enjoy the video.  This assignment was quite an eye opener.  I learned as much if not more than my audience did.  The purpose was to introduce a new Web 2.0 tool, have them create something using it, interact with their fellow students, reflect on the experience and provide feedback.

  1. Nice work! I just created my first Wordle about 2 weeks ago for my blog's introductory post. I created a list of terms relating to Education Technology and it just came out beautifully. You can check it out here:

I liked how you used Facebook for people to share photos of their Wordles and comment/reflect on what they were doing. Did you create a unique Facebook Group with just those people as members in order to execute this?

If you really like Wordle, also try Tagxedo. It's like Wordle but you can embed your text into any shape you like. I haven't tried it yet but it looks cool.

  2. Thanks Alex! I love your Wordle on your blog! It is a fun application. I will definitely check out Tagxedo as you suggest.
To answer your question, yes I set up a Facebook page specifically for the collaboration of this group.

  3. I love Wordle, what a great choice. I also liked that you had your students collaborate on facebook, but I'm surprised your school distict doesn't have Facebook blocked. Also, after reading Alex's post, I'll have to check out Tagxedo, it looks like that could be very useful.

  4. Sharon, my students were all adults and this was a virtual classroom. I am not a teacher so I created a distance learning environment for this particular exercise.
